Our program is dedicated to our esteemed Elders, those aged 65 and older, living on reserve. We are deeply committed to nurturing and advocating for our Elders, ensuring their voices are heard and their presence felt within our community.
At the heart of the Driftpile Cree Nation, we understand the invaluable role our Elders play. They are the keepers of our traditions, the pillars of wisdom, and the guiding lights for future generations. The Elders Support Program is designed to reinforce these bonds, fostering a network of care, respect, and mutual support. We aim to create a community where Elders feel valued, respected, and connected.

We believe in the power of community and the joy that comes from belonging. Our program offers Elders the opportunity to engage with their peers and the wider community, ensuring they remain active and socially connected.
Our Elders have paved the way for us, and it’s our turn to ensure they have the support they need. Whether it’s helping navigate services or ensuring their voices are heard within the community, we are here to advocate for their well-being
Twice a week, we make home visits to our Elders. These visits are a cornerstone of our program, offering personalized support and ensuring no one feels isolated or overlooked.
Every month, we host meetings that provide Elders with a platform to express their desires, concerns, and ideas for the community. Additionally, we organize two social days each month, filled with activities, laughter, and joy, contributing to the vibrant social life of our Elders.
The Elders Support Program in Driftpile Cree Nation is more than just a program; it’s a commitment to our Elders and our community. By giving our Elders the support and opportunities they need, we are not only honoring their contributions but also enriching the fabric of our community.
We invite our Elders and their families to reach out, participate, and contribute to the shaping of a community that respects and celebrates the wisdom of age. Together, we can create a nurturing environment that honors our past, supports our present, and inspires our future.
