Election Details:

• Polling Hours: 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM
• Polling Location: DCN Community Hall
• Ballot Counting: Begins immediately after the close of polls

Advanced Polls: (Tentative Dates)

• January 16, 2025 – Prince George, BC
• January 18, 2025 – Edmonton, AB

Voting by Mail-In Ballot

All voters, whether on or off reserve, may vote by mail-in ballot by requesting a ballot package.

• If you are on reserve but unavailable on Election Day, you can vote by mail-in ballot.
• Elders, handicapped individuals, or anyone unable to attend the polls in person may also vote by mail.

Note:

• Mail-in ballots must be received by the Electoral Officer before the polls close on January 20, 2025, to be counted.
• In case of a continued Canada Post mail strike, alternative arrangements will be announced.

Interim Governance

From December 18, 2024, when the current Chief and Council’s term ends, until the new Chief and Council are sworn in, governance will be managed by the Nation’s Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). During this time, critical operations and services will continue, but no major decisions will be made.
